June 7, 2017 - Browning out a bit to garnet. Very fruit nose of raspberry and cassis. First pass of the tongue is green fruit and limited acid. Once aerated it shines for its age. Well balanced fruit and acid.

August 8, 2016 - Just a touch past its prime but not bad for an 85% shiraz. There are smoke and earthy spices on the nose along with berries leaning towards red and crushed. The oak is well integrated leaving an impression of ground almonds along with black pepper to add to mouthwatering red berries on the bold side. The lack of grape tannin makes the wine a bit thin in the finish but not to be frowned upon. A good wine for tonights' ground pork red sauce over angel hair pasta. A little in the sauce does the job.
