March 15, 2014 - Louis/Dressner Tasting with all the Winemakers (E&R, Portland, OR): I really didn't care for this... though looking back, I really didn't care for the 2010 on release either, but after two years in bottle it came around. Maybe the same will occur here? The aromas are fine, smooth and soft. The palate is tart, mellow, and lean, with some meat flavors.s However, it's really pretty boring and non-descript. It tastes like grocery store wine. Unfortunately, the finish has this rotting fish component coming in that's incredibly off putting.

March 8, 2014 - Bright, clean and easy-drinking, but also wimpy. Neither offensive nor memorable. If this was $9.99 I'd happily buy it again but closer to $20 it doesn't really work out.

April 27, 2013 - Really fun nose of black raspberry, mulberry, bubble bath/flowers, earth, a touch of tar, a hint of meat, a little new leather, and some smoke. But really it's about the fruit and flowers. Cherry, boysenberry, earth, spice, and cranberry on the light, clean, fruity palate. Nice tangy acidity, good structure, good finish. Gains a little heft with food and an hour of air. Overall, this was exactly what I was hoping for and more as a table wine: fruit, no oak, friendly food companion, good price. Will buy again.

December 27, 2012 - A very enjoyable everyday wine that offers deep red color, restrained fruit, earthy notes, balance and a nice finish. Enough complexity to keep you thinking about it taste after taste. A good choice if you are looking for a "house" wine under $15.00

October 13, 2012 - Light but packed with fruit and earth and spice. Bright and clean. Loved the brussel's sprout pizza with bacon, sriracha and fish sauce.
