July 27, 2019 - Just a great glass of wine. Similar notes to July 3. Served with grilled ribeye and porcini mushroom risotto.

July 3, 2019 - Dark fruit notes on the nose and initial taste. Secondary smokey flavors, along with a slight cocoa or coffee taste. Maybe a bit of a beefy flavor at the very back end. Really great wine and in perfect drinking window now.

April 24, 2019 - A fabulous rich and viscous Cabernet. Aromas of dark berry jumping out of the glass. Immediate muted fruit notes but what is striking is the mid palette which is layered with cassis, some smoked wood, and tobacco leaf. The finish is lingering flavors of dusty fruit, and some tobacco.

May 14, 2016 - Informal tasting note- drank at a BBQ at home with rare steak. Great full bodied, fruit forward California cab. Highly recommended and ready to roll.

I assume this will keep for another 5 years but no need to wait.

July 14, 2015 - Smooth, with soft tannins and subtle, well-Balanced fruit on the nose and in the taste. A touch less character compared to James Clole's Umbral but the price is 30% less. I also appreciated the fact that the two classes I drank day two were as good as the first two the day before.
