July 30, 2016 - it was surprised, i was think that this wine will be after the peak but...it was lovely wine still good "going up" - value for money.
May 11, 2015 - Dense and saturated purple. The dominant combo on the nose and palate is chocolate and raspberries - rich, but not oaky. The alcohol is noticeable in the full mouth-feel, but the wine doesn't register as hot. The acidity is also high for a New World Merlot, which sets this apart from the fluffy chocolate teddy bear Cali Merlots that live at this $12-15 price. Subdued tannins impart moderate structure, and the finish is medium/medium-long. This mostly plays one note, but it's a good note.
January 9, 2015 - Another good bottle, focused plum aromas, decent freshness, medium bodied wine, stays juicy and friendly.
December 27, 2014 - I really like the precise fruit profile of the wine. Nice freshness, medium bodied, charming easy drinking Merlot.

May 22, 2014 - Good balance here with ripe fruit and finely integrated tannins giving it structure. I'm usually not a merlot drinker, but this is delightful, not flabby or jammy.
April 21, 2014 - Juicy and fresh, delicious - needs some decanting to get the party started.
January 26, 2014 - Lifted aromas of red berries, plums, very lively in the mouth with good acidity and firm structure, just entering optimum drinking window now and will be there for next 3-4 years.

Nose has damson and smoke. On palate nicely integrated tannins come into their own on smooth finish. Not quite chewy but a meaty mouthful
September 5, 2013 - Steingrímur Vínóteksmeistari, útgáfupartí. Það er óhætt að treysta CyT. Ég hafði reyndar aldrei smakkað merlot línuna áður en hún var alveg í sama klassa og cab. sauv. vínið. Flott vín.
