  February 13, 2014 - Color: Deep, intense yellow.
  
  Nose: Ripe red and yellow apples, grilled lemon, orange juice, chalk and a slightly oxidative note (in a good way). There is also a yeasty feeling over the nose, almost like a Fino. It definitely shows some development but still has a lot of freshness left.
  
  Palate: Initially overripe red apples that translate into fresh yellow and green apples. Lemons, oranges and some chalk dust are coming through on the mid and during the finish I get that Fino-feeling again.
  
  Much lighter body than I was expecting, but it has a hell of a acidity, sharp as a razor! The finish is really great. Lingering and complex with apples, citrus, chalk, mushrooms and yeast. Thirteen years old and still has the freshness of a good Chablis. No hurry here.

  October 31, 2013 - Château d'Arlay tasting (Stockholm): Light golden yellow colour. Nose with ripe yellow apples, discrete oxidation notes, mineral, some perfume. The palate is dry but shows notes of sweet fruit in the attack, ripe apples, slightly oily character, mineral, high acidity, aftertaste with mineral and some notes of oxidation. 89 p.
  Curiously enough, I found this wine to show less oxidised notes than the 2008 Chardonnay á la Reine! A Tradition type wine and eight years older should mean the opposite.
