November 8, 2020 - Just opened.. Orange garnet color. Great texture. Supple, soft on the palate though nice mouth coating. Subtle nose of red cherry, leather, and anise. Nicely integrated; subtle oak. Soft and warm- likely due to vintage. I can consider "94".

September 12, 2018 - Excellent bottle. Smooth tannins, chocolate cover cherries and tobacco. Last one, it will be missed and remembered.

January 22, 2018 - Very good. Definitely towards the end of life so I would say drink up. Went well with beef tenderloin and grilled asparagus.

August 18, 2015 - very tasty, full body with just the right amount of sweetness, would definitely buy again. worth the 50 bucks as many others are not.

January 30, 2014 - Year in and year out Altamura is one of the best Sangiovese producers in CA. The 2008 vintage is no exception. A little pricey, but a fun, flavorful and crowd pleasing wine.

December 8, 2013 - Decanted for three hours + and was opening nicely. I was not terribly impressed with the first two bottles. This shown nicely.

October 19, 2013 - Not very genuine. Needs time but it doesn't understand its roots. Ok but.....

September 21, 2013 - Nice wine. Will benefit from more bottle age; not as much oak or character as 06 vintage.

July 16, 2013 - Dark, rich and fruit forward. Nicely balanced with medium length finish.
