November 26, 2023 - This is my last bottle of this vintage and it is spectacular! The penultimate bottle was tired and flat, leading me to think I should drink this one up and open shelf space. How wrong, but happy I was to find this bottle, purchased and stored under the same conditions, to be exquisite. Popular wisdom says these wines should peak at 10 or so years and the last bottle seemed to support that. However this bottle makes me think the wine could handle more cellar time
This bottle would stand proudly against any comparison. -

November 24, 2023 - Drink up. Either it's still in a prolonged "dumb" stage or it is not built to last this long.

September 20, 2023 - Great nose, but the balance of power and elegance has shifted to elegance with less interest. For me this is a drink now.

September 12, 2020 - Day one was exceedingly light, if aromatically all OR Pinot.
Day two in a Zalto Burgundy glass and the parade of OR Pinot aromas continue.
Deep rich and ripe black cherries, some thin line of greenery throughout.
The palate has gained weight, mostly black cherry fruit with a slight herbal background.
The lush richness I often associate with Antica Terra shows up on day two, after the surprising lightness of day one. With added weight on day two, there is an additional slightly stewed note to the fruit and a faint bitterness shows up on the finish.
The tannins are resolved, the acid is present though not really persistent, leading me to think that this is more of a near term drinker at this point.
Drink now and over a few years. -

July 24, 2020 - With Doug and Debbie, socially distanced dinner in their yard. Poured this through a Vinituri and rebottled about an hour prior to drinking.
Medium ruby color, some fading. Nose showing dark red fruits, medicinal herbs, earth notes. Elegant palate of black raspberry, brown sugar, herbs, floral notes. Persistent through the mid palate, some saline characteristics in the finish. Medium weight and finish.
Age has done this well, it has settled into a spot where its showing a classic Oregon profile with nicely nuanced flavors. In a really good spot now and should continue to drink at this level for at least a few more years.
