Community Tasting Notes 10

    September 18, 2020 - Last of 3 bottles.
    Tasty Riesling, no formal TN.
    Drink now through 2021.

February 6, 2018 - Fruit oils and mineral on the nose. Oil on the palate with notes. Rich and saturating on the palate, though not deep. Mineral wash really grows. A very deft wine, but a little too mineral dominant for me.

    July 29, 2017 - Consumed over 3 days.
First day, seemed to be a bit advanced and possibly over-the-hill, but this blew off after an hour or 2 to reveal a refreshing and delicious wine.
Notes of apricot, green apple, and grapefruit zest, giving it a slightly spicy zing into the long and vibrant finish. This wine weighs in at 13% and is a dry Riesling. Drink now through 2019+.

December 31, 2014 - Nice, but not special. This is a little humdrum as compared to other Lauer wines in other years. It is certainly dry, but that's about all I really have to say about this wine. I am wondering if 2011 isn't the best year for the Lauers.

November 6, 2013 - Nice wine but didn’t find as interesting as the Fass 11
On the nose there are notes grapefruit, white peach, lemon rind and some wet stone in the background similar palate intensity and acidity feel like they are on the lower end here
