January 26, 2018 - Wow. Exactly what I was looking for tonight. Still young bright and bold with dark fruit intense flavors and a long complex finish. Classic Howell mtn.

March 16, 2014 - A very good wine. Nose of vanilla, salted caramel, and a hint of oak. Tastes of rich, opulent, blue fruits with tannins that coat the mouth but never in an unpleasant way. They are sweet, seductive, enveloping in a way that makes one yearn for more. Finish easily lasts for 45+ seconds. I may disagree with Bob and prefer the 2008 over this 2009, but that is one's personal preference and not a knock on this wine.
