December 24, 2018 - Nicely developed aroma of tropical fruit (ananas) and minerals. Medium plus body. Spicy finish with decent acidity. Solid.

August 13, 2017 - Very expressive nose with loads of peaches, spices and minerality. Rich on the palate, long spicy finish with decent acidity. Purchased for EUR 13(!) at Gobelsburg in 2012.

March 22, 2014 - Protruding cork, but wine was fine. Very delicious and classy Riesling. Good now but should age well too. - 90 points

March 15, 2014 - WSET Level 3 Course - Berry Brothers & Rudd; 1/25/2014-3/22/2014 (Berry Brothers & Rudd - Basingstoke): TASTED UNDER WSET 3 EXAM CONDITIONS AS PART OF A MOCK EXAM. Single blind. Presented with choice of 3 possible generic identities for the sample.

Appearance: clear, pale lemon green - watery rim
Nose: clean, medium/medium(+) intensity, citrus fruits (lemon, lime), green fruit(green apple, green pear), stone fruit(peach), mineral/petrol notes, floral notes, developing
Palate: dry, medium(+) acidity, medium body, medium(+) intensity, medium/medium(+) finish, citrus fruits(lemon, lime), green fruits(green apple), stone fruit(peach); medium alcohol (13.5%)
Overall: good balance; reasonably long length; quite intense; reasonable complexity.
Conclusion: VERY GOOD; drink now - has potential for further ageing; PREMIUM priced (£23.95)

(Schloss Gobelsburg Riesling Gaisberg) ($34.00) Classic site-aromas are both calm and mentholatedly penetrating; the palate has a silvery moon-sweetness, berries in the form of jewels; a power-pack of mineral, and an iridescent cool brilliance. +(+)
