December 2, 2011 - Lighter and more cranberry than the last bottle. None of the dried fruit. Some licorice on the palate, with herbs and sauvage. Pretty resolved. Good without being great.

September 20, 2011 - Nose is a little ripe and pruney to start. Palate similar. After about 30 mins, this slowly evolves to a lighter, more balanced wine with a lovely violet note on the finish. Some gamey meatiness adds to the body in what is a rather delicious wine.

June 13, 2009 - This was one of the stouter bottles, and too young. I thought corked on day one but clearly not - came together on day two with a really nice, put together old school northern southern Rhone feel. I am pretty certain I have bottles from two foudres, one that needs drinking now and one that needs to hold. Hmmm....
