December 27, 2017 - Seems past prime. Extremely slow to open, and even then somewhat disappointing. Slightly fruity, low tannin, but unremarkable.

May 30, 2016 - Pleasantly surprised by this wine, and shocked by how well it has aged. Opened and poured thru an aerator, then enjoyed over a couple of hours. This wine still has the bell pepper on the nose, described in earlier reviews, with the tannins standing tall to provide backbone thru the palate. Dark, dry and seductive, this wine still has an edge, but it gives way to the currant, pepper and ripe fruit as the wine opens up. I was blessed with a perfectly stored and aged wine, and hope my second bottle fares just as well. Cheers!

September 10, 2015 - Still showing plenty of fruit with some bricking and nice nose. Slight touch of bell pepper that dissipated with time. Still quite nice.

November 9, 2014 - Magnum, still good. Some what dry, lots of fruit, about what you'd expect. Decanting may have helped slightly.

November 23, 2013 - Surprisingly still has soft red fruit flavors. Beginning to develop a tiny amount of funk on the nose. But while the tannins are largely gone I would describe them as fully integrated and soft as opposed to missing. An elegant wine that still yields hints of its past lushness.
