Community Tasting Notes 5

    October 25, 2015 - - Garnet color. It's balanced with a medium/full body. Round texture with a long finish - Very nice.

May 8, 2015 - One of the most unusual/exotic red wines I've ever tasted. This Merlot/Cab Franc blend has mixed berries and bug spray in the nose. Yes, bug spray...but in a strangely pleasing/nostalgic sort of way. It was a lot more noticeable drinking outdoors where the wind was coaxing the volatile fennel out of the glass. The wine is balanced, with a light-medium body, silky tannin and well integrated acidity. Won't improve with age.

April 13, 2014 - Ran through Vinturi into decanter, then through it again into glass. At first was thin & boring with a disappointing fruit punch feel. Almost quit drinking it but decided to give it time due to having rushed things. 3 hours later it was completely different and much better. While still thin, it showed balance and finesse with notes of sweet vanilla, dark chocolate and herbal tones to compliment the fruit which had settled down.

April 13, 2013 - It's an ok Merlot. Very light on the first taste, heavy tannins on the finish.

March 29, 2013 - Ok. Probably not the best merlot based wine I tasted.
