March 1, 2014 - Deep flavors, showing a deft amount of tannins and lovely blackberry compote flavors. One of the good ones.

December 10, 2013 - What an amazing wine. I was a little concerned i may have waited a little to long to consume this bottle, with 3 left in my cellar. Dark Ruby in color, with blueberry compote and a heady black currant liqueur on a almost minute long finish. I would guess this wine could hold for another 3-5 years. Definitely the wine of the evening clearly outshining a Dumol Pinot and Reserve Cab by Arrowood.

September 5, 2011 - Deep color. A little hot at first, but heat started to subside after some time. Blueberry fruit, concentrated, long finish.

April 1, 2011 - A pleasurable B&H bottled with a real cork, so it is holding up nicely. Resolved tannins, strong blackberry flavors with a nice level of acidity.

May 9, 2009 - Drinking nicely, with some well integrated creamy oak notes to complement the blackberry fruit profile. Somewhat disjointed, perhaps its the cab franc element that adds an olive or herbacious element to the wine.

November 11, 2006 - Decanted for a couple of hours. Didn't bother to look at the color bc it was Friday night and I was feeling lazy and we were eating in the living room which was dimly lit. Herbacious nose with bay, anise, black olive aromas along with blackberry, casis and coffee. Flavor profile was indistinct but delicious dark, sweet fruit and cocoa, coffee, olive and vanilla. Creamy from start to finish with lots of soft, ripe tannins, minimal acidity and a notably long finish. I thought this wine's balance was amazing and am surprise to read another note this morning that it was disjointed. Overall hugely interesting pleasure to drink. I loved it, with the caveat we consumed alongside a meal with strong garlic and herb flavors, which definitely slanted our perceptions. Very glad to have a few more bottle of this and can't wait to find if subsequent experience is as good. Consume over the next 18 months.
