March 30, 2020 - Deep but bright gold. Rustic nose of dried quince and birch. Palate (medium full bodied) echoes with firm acidity plus plantain and a touch of white pepper. Finish is long and earthy. My favorite appellation for Chardonnay doesn’t disappoint a decade on. Pair with any classic “white wine” dishes, high end or more pedestrian fare. This will satisfy for another 5-10 years.

March 29, 2020 - Drinking so beautifully now. Gorgeous light honey gold, full bodied mouthfeel, flavors kept revealing themselves over a couple of hours. Sad to see this last of 6 go.

October 28, 2018 - Aging gracefully. Now taking on more yellowish hew and a bit more textural heft.

August 12, 2017 - This is bullshit. Out of a case, at least 8 bottles have been compromised in the sense where they were premoxed and only 2-4 were spot on, the real deal of a true puligny 1er one should expect This is not a good batting average as we say here in the states. Thank god I didn't pay full asking price for these wines but still! I should take a picture of the cork as I've never seen this before...the exposed portion of the cork starting turning white after being recorked in the bottle and placed in the fridge...maybe it's not a matter of quality or climate change after all but the corks all along...regardless, I told myself early on once I noticed this pattern starting to stay clear of the bigger negociants going forward.

August 9, 2017 - This continues to be consistent as I've had it over the past couple of years - solid but reticent and ultimately uninteresting.

April 15, 2017 - I didn't approach this bottle in the right way the last time - this time I let it breath for some 20-30 minutes and only then was able to fully appreciate what it has to offer - the nose was reticent at first but told its secrets of complex citrus fruit. On the palate, full bodied bordering on oily. It might benefit from a bit more acid, but I wouldn't go so far as to call it flabby. This is not a wine to slug at a picnic, but one to savor quietly as the message is an intimate one.

    October 4, 2015 - from 375.
light yellow. light minerally, lemon rind, but round flavors. Easy to enjoy, I don't know how this will last, but drinking well now in small format.

September 3, 2015 - Expressive nose of soft lemon, hazelnut, & linen. This is nice, soft and round on the palate, with good acidity & a streak of mineral in the background. Just a very elegant wine.

March 16, 2015 - Bright greenish gold. Stunning high pitched nose of white flowers, lemon and minerals that can only be Puligny. Bright and high pitched on the palate as well. Thankfully, a very different and much better wine than the one from my last tasting note.
