Community Tasting Notes 4

May 2, 2021 - Robe dorée flamboyante, arômes de sous bois légers. Noisette apparaissant au bout de trois heures. Finale moyennement persistante. Drink up.

August 21, 2020 - Burg Grand Cru night at Bishan. Tasted totally blind. Drank in Gabriel Standart.
Appearance is clear, medium intensity, yellow colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of integrated nutty oak, chalky limestone minerality, ripe citrus lemon, mangoes and other ripe exotic fruits. Developing.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of ripe citrus lemon, mangoes, ripe exotic fruits, chalky limestone minerality buried in the dense fruit. Medium+ finish.
Very good quality. We were all guessing Cote de Beaune Grand Cru white. Shocked to see Chablis GC! Maybe we just don't drink enough Chablis like this. So dense and ripe and clearly oaked also. Like it, but just lacks a little of the tension and greater minerality I expect from Chablis.

August 11, 2019 - At first, this is promising with great underlying minerality and salinity. However, the wine is marred by overwhelming oak treatment. So much so that it feels like a cousin to an overloaded Sonoma Chardonnay.

June 18, 2018 - didn't taste until open two days in the fridge after over opening for a party. golden with a nose of flowers, limestone, and integrated oak. medium bodied with medium acidity in a very nice balance. primarily lemon flavors kissed with honey and spice entombed in a vault of cleansing minerality. relatively simple but with a teenage maturity and excellent depth.
