February 17, 2015 - A really impressive bottling that should only get better with time. I imbibed from a magnum that served too chilled, but the wine opened up over time to reveal a complex, layered palate of steel, honey and citrus notes, with a thick texture and long, satisfying finish. I'd love to encounter this in another 5-10 years to check on its progression.

March 9, 2013 - Focus on 2010 Burgundy- The 2013 La Paulee Grand Tasting (Metropolitan Pavilion, New York): Excellent depth and concentration-a step up from the Clos. Textural entry but then an electric finish of acidity and minerality like the Vaillons but even more resounding. The oak is easily incorporated here due to the sheer volume and strength of the juice. Superb.
