February 23, 2024 - Really nicely aged, I wouldn’t hold much longer. Drank on pnp and then also the next day, no significant differences.
If you like complexity and tertiary flavors from Syrah and genache then you will love this. Meaty, licorice, cooked plums, leather, Worcester sauce.
Enough flavor and punch to keep me distracted and enjoy another weekend as a dance Sherpa.

December 15, 2022 - Seems to be aging well - but not better. Seems stuck in neutral (similar notes to a bottle consumed 8 years ago). A little sweetness from the grenache, with a touch of savory notes from the syrah. Not over the top (no heat), but the mouthfeel was a little thin. Good effort, just not great.

December 31, 2021 - Similar notes as Feb 2017 tasting. Deep color, blackberries, black cherries, black raspberries, chocolate, licorice, and hints of floral in the nose. Similar flavor of blackberries, licorice, and black raspberries. Very well balanced, medium to full bodied, nice complexity and a long finish.

September 20, 2020 - Ten years in and the first impression is the heat on the nose, with that alcohol really prominent. Savory notes of ripe red fruit, licorice and some chocolate. No sign of slowing down. Just not a style to which I was drawn.

April 27, 2019 - I was tempted to decant and let sit for a couple hours, after reading some reviews. I popped the cork about 1.5 hrs before dinner and poured and it was a bit tight. Aerated each glass and it was great. The last glass had faded though and aeration was not needed. Reidel Syrah glasses.
