January 4, 2023 - A bit of a paradox, and I’m not sure if this still a bit shutdown or there’s not enough fruit to balance out the vigorous acidity. Nice fresh nose, hints of cherry and wood shaving. Soft red cherry, some spice, and black tea tannins framed with minerals and firm acidity. The finish is a bit sauvage and while I like the energy and freshness this comes across as a bit austere and shrill. I expected a bit more fruit in a 2010. On the fence, but I’m not inclined to invest in additional offerings from the producer given the alternatives at the same price point.

August 13, 2021 - #2 of 3 & another fabulous btl! First btl a little over 4yrs ago. After a couple sips & sniffs decided to slow ox in btl & Riedel Burg & btl for an hour prior to dinner. Bright semi translucent ruby red. Striking depth you rarely see for the $45 on release. Fresh dark raspberry & mineral are joined by enticing layers of fruit, spice & tertiary mushroom & forest floor. A stellar example of terroir driven 2010 purity & balance. This a is serious overachieving gem w/ still room for further positive evolution. Love this producer! 13% alc. 93+

May 4, 2021 - Kept under condition 1 since about 2016 (see my profile). Color: (light-)ruby. Not decanted. Taste: at the first day rather closed with some promising good fruit and depth, but still with rather much drying tannins. Nevertheless there seemed a good potential. At the third day more open, with more quite powerfull fruit. Not to open a next bottle before three to five years of keeping, otherwise this wine will need a decant of at least six hours. Potential 91+.

May 3, 2021 - Red and black cherry, slightly rustic, med + acid, fairly long

May 3, 2021 - Recent purchase and looks like a cracker. Ruby with slight violet hints, more new world nose, fruity but hints of acidity which then translates to a taste that is full on the attack, mid section and finish. Top, top quality, shows what Burgundy can do, New World oomph with classic complexity
