November 4, 2022 - Beautiful dark and red cherry fruit balanced perfectly by lots of earth and herbs. Silky texture with a long finish. This wine tonight is hitting well above its level and $25 price point. Delicious, great effort.

Likely peaking, but no signs of fading. Drink 2023-2030.

    October 8, 2021 - Resplendissant ce soir!
Bouchon en parfaite condition sur celui-ci.
Encore une certaine énergie, mais souple dans l’ensemble.
    À boire!

    August 2, 2019 - 🏅 Rating 89+/100 (3,95⭐)

Light brick rim showing some age. Nose doesn't confirm any extra development. Wine has reached its peak maturity. Good fruit concentration. Red forest berries: raspberry. Thus. Rustic. Both primary and secondary aromas are present.
Weak on the mid-palate if you compare to bigger Cote de Nuits. But for lesser appellation as Marsannay and its only village level, I think the result is superb!
With some time in the glass it opens up and gains fragrance and holds freshness.
    Develops to menthol and camphor.
Very good and classic expression of Burgundian Pinot Noir.

    Drink now till 2025.

Marsannay is home village for Domaine Bart. I personally adore this less known producer. Run by Pierre Bart, 6th generation of Domaine. Pierre's grandmother comes from the same family as Domaine Bruno Clair.

Style changed significantly from his father's. Now less oak. All about fruits and freshness.

Their Grand Cru wines from Bonnes Mares and Clos de Bèze is another great story to tell.
