January 21, 2022 - Vinturi aerated with a 90min decant. Black cherry and plum nose with hints of cedar. Full bodied and smooth. Layers of black cherry and plum on the palate with graphite and mineral notes. Lots of flavour and interest here. Long plum dominated finish. Just superb and drinking a tad nicer than 3 years ago. Sadly the last of 4 bottles.

January 19, 2021 - Big but restrained deep ruby colour, lots fruit blackberries plum, vanilla licorice spicy finish nice balance, smooth integrated tannins no jamminess but has power, couple of hours decant, lovely bottle of wine.
I was worried it would be just to much, but no, probably at its peak but plenty of life left in it.

April 10, 2020 - Wow. This really puts Shiraz on the map. Insane integration of profound wood undertones and powerful fruit. Will likely mellow for 4-7 years. But this could easily be the peak if u like some punch

December 13, 2018 - Vinturi aerated into decanter and let stand for 2 hours. Bright black cherry red. Long slow legs. Black fruits, leather and wet earth nose. Cherries and black berries on the palate. Smooth, flavourful and surprising delicate. Medium finish. A very nice wine worth seeking out.

October 20, 2018 - Good balance and length. The fruit is powerful but not jammy. Acidity provides a good backbone through the length of the palate. The tannins are refined and integrated. It is still young - the balance means many years in front of it.

April 10, 2017 - Benefits from a couple of hours breathing. Full bodied but not heavy. Dark red through to the edges. Plenty of oak but not overpowering. Loads of fruit, dark berries and ripe plums. Fine tannins and acid in balance. Lingering length and delightful mouth feel. 93+

    May 28, 2016 - Decant for 2 hours,
Clear, deep ruby intensity with legs.

Clean, On nose, it is pronounced intensity and surely leading by black fruit: black plum, black cherry, after that, sweet spiciness with liquorice, clove, black pepper, tobacco, tea leaf, coffee and oak of coconut, very complex and with high but sweet & fine tannin. It can be aged for 5 more years without any doubts.

On palate, medium+ body and high alcohol, prounced flavour intensity. It is with all nose flavour bitterness and savoury. Comparatively it is a very elegant Australia style wine, not as robust as the usual Barrosa. I like that very much.

It is a great one and very enjoyable!

February 13, 2016 - Although I'm not an Australian winelover, that's something I'm looking for from Barossa.

Strong blackcurrent and blueberries, vanalla, caramel, toffee, and a hint of mint and cinnamon. Good concerntration and good length. Very best match with the roast lamb. Yummy!
