October 22, 2023 - Davidson plum red, with ruddy brown tinges. Medium weight. Legs left on the glass. Oak, vanilla and ripe red berries. Soft, balanced, juicy. White pepper tannins linger. Perfect with rare rib eye fillets. Seems I score better as this ages. Must have gone through a mid aged crisis.

January 10, 2021 - This bottle better than the last. Still a drink soon proposition.

July 8, 2020 - Expected a big Barossa blend, instead got a leaner, more crisp one. The nose shows strong development already - mostly foresty-vegetal aromas with a lick of fruit and licorice. Palate feels disjointed, like there was once substance here, but now it’s hanging on to strings. Medium finish. If you have this laying around, it’s definitely time to drink up.

October 31, 2018 - Lighter style barossa blend of mataro shiraz grenache and cinsault with some age. Acid driven, juicy and moreish and probably at its peak although it was good on release. Grenache holding well. Nose a touch porty with some air but didn't come through on palate. Bit of saltbush does not distract. 90.

December 23, 2017 - Showed promise early but after a few sips all that came through was a sour note on the middle palate. Already showing signs of being past it's best.

March 26, 2016 - Essentially a SA red in style but as expected some restraint (not too much) and a bit of polish. Bright grenache fruits and strawberry hints keep the wine lifted. Not a keeper and not sure it will get much better.

January 1, 2016 - Lots of pepper on the nose, not so much on the palate which shows excellent fruit, tannins are starting to resolve but still quite grippy, excellent weight and length - the pepper does put me off somewhat but this may fade, still a good drop - look again in 12-18 months
