November 29, 2021 - A gorgeous wine, which is the archetype of a great white from Burgundy tomy palate. Impeccable balance, great depth, very focused and precise, creamy, fatiness with vivid acidity. Aromas of peach, citruses, lily, a bit of butter too. Absolutely gorgeous, and it will only get better with a further aging.

October 3, 2021 - A Magnificent Burgundy Afternoon (San Francisco): Full yellow. Classic hazelnut along with some churned butter. Rich, round, and deep with an excellent to outstanding finish replete with earth and acidity. Fantastic texture with some wood. Succulent, great balance. Others thought this might be slightly oxidized, but I found nothing except for the positive presence of light Meursault nuttiness.

September 2, 2021 - Excellent. Lots of rich and ripe tropical fruits and plenty of acidity to balance it out. This is really great wine, what white burgundy is all about in my opinion.

August 14, 2021 - Tight nose, youthful and citric with peach and orchard fruit.
Much broader and richer on the palate, with layers of rich fruit.
Lovely supporting acidity, this is really top-notch.

July 3, 2021 - Another in a long series of Lafon Meursault Perrières. Beautifully preserved and fresh; yellow mid way between straw and buttercup. When first opened there is that distinctive Lafon waft of oatmeal and lemon. Gorgeous balance, perfect acidity. Just a tiny touch of austerity that marks it out as Perrières. Disarmingly lovely now at this early mature stage. With just a bit more concentration it would be epic. Held up well over two hours and best when even cooler than usual.

November 27, 2020 - Similar to last year, though maybe a little leaner as bright citrus fruit and mineral/saline dominated the midpalate and finish. Enjoyable but i found myself eager to shift gears to the reds

October 24, 2020 - Beautiful. The dry cork had me concerned but not to worry, the pale color was reassuring. Nicely aromatic. Medium full, long finish. Just slightly soft as befits the vintage but plenty of juicy acidity and matière. There are no flowers in here but a generous amount of apricot and cantaloupe fruit and a touch of lemongrass and quince. Minerally. No change in the glass over hours. Still youthful. Complex and intriguing.

April 15, 2020 - Glorious Meursault Perrières, so different from the Lafons of yesteryear although I loved them too. Very, very tight and dry cork which broke in half. Pale straw. Extraordinary elegance and stony minerality. Borderline austere and tight, young but intense, especially for the vintage. Regal and poised. Remarkable with years to go before it peaks but irresistible now.

March 6, 2020 - La Paulée de New York - The Verticals (Eventi Hotel - New York NY): Walk around tasting, in 12/11/09 vertical. Apple and lemon comes across as very bright, energetic and long. So enjoyable tight now.
