September 24, 2015 - An excellent wine for an okay price. Brings that lovely zing at the front of the palate and then matures into warmer, more aged sweetness in the finish. Better cold than a little warm. I think I was looking for an experience that I couldn't let this wine deliver, but I thought it was robust, unique, and well built throughout.

(Kruger-Rumpf Binger Scharlachberg Riesling Spätlese) ($24.00) CORE-LIST WINE. This is all a swell, a wave that rises below feeling, yet then you feel it lifting you, pushing you
up, on a foamy breaking froth of roses; the palate is all cox-orange pippins and sweet pine-resin. A little flesh doesn’t hurt a bit. +
