March 23, 2023 - Just two months after the prior: This is in a lovely spot right now, difficult to resist. Very similar to the prior note. We will try to hold the remaining for a couple years.

January 13, 2022 - Seven months after the prior: Bricking ruby, translucent at the edges. Again nicely spicy, savory, with a hint of funk — and this time we’ve noticed (although we think it’s been there previously) a slight suggestion of kirsch. Lovely finish. Very enjoyable over three nights.

June 12, 2021 - 5+ years after the prior: The two most recent notes below describe it very well. To that we will add: savory, spicy, elegant. Dark fruit, excellent acidity. Very enjoyable over four nights, and quite alive through the end.

October 15, 2020 - Aromatics of red pinot like cherry and cranberry, Christmas spice, expressive, with faint showings of underbrush. The palate is tart, lacking some density but the finish is sappy and expansive, it explodes with orange, tea, cranberry, and citrus infused cherry.

July 27, 2019 - Drinking well now. Slightly reductive at first but blew off to reveal a complex nose of dried red petals, crushed rocks, baked cherry, vanilla pod, mushroom, and forest floor. Vibrant red fruit in the mouth with expressive secondary and tertiary characteristics reflective of the nose. Grippy tannin and M+ acidity. Not showing any signs of fatigue and still some way to go with tertiary evolution so expect to cellar well for the next 5-10 years at least.
