  March 7, 2014 - Clear ruby color. Notes of damp forest, brown spice, lavender, fig paste and raspberry. Bright and juicy on the palate, with elegantly layered flavors and silky fine tannin. Finishes with nice depth of high-toned mineral and red fruit flavors. Very nice.

  July 6, 2013 - Brambly earth laced red Pinot fruit, cherry mostly. This is light but intense, focused attack of red cherry, red currant, with refreshing acidity.

  February 2, 2013 - Aromatic with pure raspberry with ripe wild strawberry, even cranberry; floral (violets) with wet earth, potting soil, and a hint of cinnamon and green peppercorn; this is very pure with tart berry fruits and high acidity, but with a slight candy-grape gum aspect too; hint of anise in the end. Good structure, pure red fruits, probably go a good 8 years. Very nice at this level. One of the best Hautes-Cotes de Nuits I've had. 90-91
