Community Tasting Notes 2

December 23, 2017 - This is a very fine example of French Pinot. It is quite mellow with wonderfully consistent soft fruit throughout . Tannins are very soft if nonexistent. It is for immediate consumption seven years after production and tastes so wonderfully that I will look for other wines of Francois Raquillet. This is neither a forceful nor highly alcoholic wine at this point in it's development, but it is elegant and very fine, with wonderful subtle fruit. Excellent with a chiopino (fish soup).

May 12, 2016 - Aromas of barnyard, dark red fruit, earth, floral, licorice. Medium body, high acidity, medium- tannins. Tart, medium finish. A little unbalanced, with the acidity being a tad biting and lacking that typical Pinot velvety mouthfeel. But overall a decent Burg lite.
