February 7, 2022 - This has been on my 'drink it now' list for some time. 'Now' ended up being last weekend. Boy, did this beat expectations! A classic older chianti that was bone dry, still had cherry-like fruit, and was silky smooth. Great with our pasta meal. Finished over two days and it got better the second day. Pretty good for 12-13 year old wine. Had in the cellar for about 10 years.

December 26, 2021 - Excellent Chianti. Very dry, as you would expect, but still showing fruit and a pleasing flavor. Great with the pasta meal. Christmas Eve tradition of red sauce with capers, green olives, and sliced fresh mushrooms. Subtle taste of vegetables in the pasta sauce, served over angel hair.

March 4, 2021 - Dark red in color. Lifted aromas of florals and spice tighten up with air to reveal dark red fruits, herbs, mentholated notes and hint of leather. Medium bodied and firm palate shows sweet dark red fruits, hint of savory herbs, medium (+) acidity, graphite and a mineral and graphite tinged finish.
