January 24, 2021 - Perfect cork. Good, deep colour, browning at the edges. Good St. Estèphe typicity on the nose, with a reasonable amount of fruit and some notes of coal-tar. On the palate it's of medium weight and a bit austere, but there's quite a lot there and the finish was attractive.

I bought a dozen of these on release, and drank most of them about ten years ago. They were OK but a bit clunky, so I was pleasantly surprised by this bottle.

October 15, 2020 - Recently got 8 bottles of this at an auction....drank 2 so far and i am very pleasently surprised. Not at all austere like some other BX I have been drinking from this vintage.....pop'n'pour, still enough fruit left to please the misses and enough secondary and tertiary stuff going on to keep me interested. This one is drinking great 20 years in.....

November 5, 2017 - Lovely dark ruby. Reticent on nose, mostly earthy black fruit. Dark black fruits, bit of black plum and earth and liquorice background, decent acidity and fair tannins. Not terribly long. Bit foursquare but much richer and fuller this bottle. Suspect it has finally grown into itself.

July 24, 2017 - A decent price but still disappointing given the vintage. The nose was just horrific, all barnyard. In the mouth it was a little better with well integrated tannins but really nothing special. If you get it for a good price (ie under 30 usd it's OK) but not a wine to seek out

January 11, 2017 - Lovely dark ruby. Reticent on nose, mostly earthy black fruit. Dark black fruits, bit of black plum and earth and liquorice background, decent acidity and fair tannins. Not terribly long. Agree it should be better given place and vintage but not a bad minor Bdx. Suspect it has grown into itself a bit.

September 18, 2016 - Deep dark ruby. Bit reticent on the nose. Middle weight, middle length. Dark berry fruits. Something a bit tarry and earthy. Nothing wrong just not much to get excited about.

October 30, 2012 - Drinking nicely. Likely at its peak. Very pleasant soft red fruit, but a little thinner than I expected.

July 23, 2012 - Absolutely rocking and punching well above its weight at the moment.

February 4, 2012 - Although there is nothing wrong with this, it did not represent the complexity and depth of a typical St. Estephe. Brilliant garnet color. Some light fruits on the palate. A bit thin in the mouth. Rather dry and a bit heavy on the tannins. Disappointing given the otherwise outstanding vintage.

December 22, 2010 - No faults, just not up to snuff. Very "fall fair"; hay bales and cotton candy. I also found it a bit sweaty/animal. Green pepper, white tobacco, and cooked fruit- jam... to its credit, quite varietally typical. In the mouth it really fell apart, the wine was thin, tannins dry... mostly vegetal on the palate. Must agree with some of the other recent posts... "weak in the knees". No faults, but terrible value.
