  January 25, 2013 - Took 3 hours to fully open up to old-school Chateauneuf in the masculine style with a profile of licorice, figs, dark red fruit and spices. Lots of farmyard on the nose that slowly dissipates. Even if Mourre du Tendre produces big scaled wines I like them a lot but patience is key. This one will easily last another 5 years. There is plenty of fruit to deal with the remaining tannins.
