  March 12, 2015 - This was delicious stuff. More fruit-driven vs. spice-driven, this was quite bright, open and had a kind of cotton candy feel too it - too sweet almost, and not much depth. It was pleasant, simple and playful though not so serious. Would have liked more concentration and a bit more kick or austerity.

  January 17, 2013 - Plum, cassis, and oak on the nose. Brambly blackberry attack with a bold velvety mid palate. Closes out with a long fruit finish and some nice tanins.
  
  Fruity zin but not as big as most in the appellation. Well built but not unique.

  January 14, 2013 - A little light compared to most Zins in this area as well as against other Mazzocco offerings. Big black fruit, with subtle tannins.
