January 14, 2024 - Bjørnebær, moreller, solbær, lær, lakris og fat. God og fyldig syrefrisk frukt med avslipte taniner. Takler ett kraftig kjøttmåltid og fungerer i glasset etterpå.

April 7, 2023 - Decanted for 90 minutes. Lovely nose of rose, tar and herbs. The palate is medium bodied, graceful but showing the fruit of the vintage. Not having the depth of the old vines cuvee but still very good.

February 28, 2023 - NV Rogna (Marta, NYC): [Double-decanted for a half hour around 5pm.] Gorgeous nose of red fruit. Complex. Long, juicy finish of red fruit, tar and tannin. Needs at least another 5-10 years to show all it's got. 92-93

December 3, 2022 - 2007 Barolo and one Barbaresco in Tucson (Ciabot Tucker): Double decanted in AM, then a late morning check in where I decanted for a couple hours, and rebottled for the evening.

A beautiful ripe but not overripe nose with terrific purity of fruit and florals. Cherry, rose, some Giacosa like hard candy and balsam notes. Effusively perfumed on the palate with beautiful fruit and florals. It's forward and bordering on Baroque but with terrific balance. This grew over a few hours being open. A forward wine that has the requisite balance to not only be immensely passively pleasurable, but also give you things to think about. Luca does very well in warm years. Better than the last bottle I had last year. Youthfully at peak. 94
