  December 26, 2019 - Dark and deep red color, very dense in the glass. Deep, dark fruit on the nose, with some earth and a bit of chocolate as well. Nice fruit, well-balanced, the finish stuck around for quite a while with a pleasant fruity but drying sensation on the tongue. Served with grilled burgers, the wine really showed well.

  August 23, 2017 - Inky purple color with aromatic lavender, spice, dark fruit and a bit of damp earth aromas. On the palate it's medium bodied and harmonious with vibrant acidity and well integrated sauve tannins with blackberry, spice, red currant and pepper flavors. Long finish.

  June 25, 2016 - Popped and poured. Complex, deep aromas of black fruit, menthol, with a bit of barnyard creeping in and out. Up front this is pure, rich berry flavors. Exploding complexity from mid palate to finish, with pieces of menthol, vanilla, tobacco, among others. Vanilla dominates at the end.
  
  This is far from subtle, but I would call it elegant. Iron fist in a velvet glove, to use a well-worn phrase. Exceptional.

  December 18, 2013 - Inky purple color with aromatic lavender, spice dark fruit and a bit of damp earth aromas. On the palate it's medium bodied vibrant and well balanced with well integrated soft tannins with blackberry, spice, red currant and pepper flavors. Lingering finish.
