March 18, 2016 - The most intriguing aroma it seems to lead to is not unlike chicken tacos: browned chicken later marinated in stock, and corn tortillas, with accents of green bell pepper. It's blessed with a mineral, powdered concrete/stone smell before the Cab Franc pyrazines arrive on the nose. Quite linear on some level, but fresh and ravishing all the same--it's the texture that eventually steals the show with some air. I'm thinking I should age my last magnum for 3 more years to bring it to the fresh yet supple place I prefer.

February 28, 2016 - This was one of the finest wines tasted today at the Big Glou tasting. Such a silky texture; it had been a while since I'd tried the Breton wines and what an eye-opener. Everything down to the charmer Trinch! was really great.

February 27, 2016 - Q1 Tasting - Cabernet Franc wines (Our Apt): Wine #15: Drank as part of a blind Cabernet Franc tasting. From a magnum. Wine was drinking very young and probably could have used a bit more of a decant. Just a touch of alcohol on the palette. It was more fruit forward - lots of red currant. I didn't get some of the vegetal notes from the note before, but perhaps because they were very muted compared to some of the other older wines we'd tasted before. I enjoyed it. (5 pennies)

October 13, 2015 - I have never had this bottling from Breton and was not at all impressed. A bit harsh initially on open, thought that mellowed with air. Cherry, earth, a bit of green/herbal notes. However, this lacked the complexity and depth I expect from Cab Franc and from Breton. It was just okay.

January 27, 2015 - A really lovely bottle. A heady nose right out of the gate. Typical cab franc - cherry, tobacco, bell pepper. Light on the palate in a glou glou sort of way. Not terribly nuanced, but a really enjoyable early drinker from the Bretons. Also, this held up very well over three days. Perhaps even better on night 2 than night 1, so, if stored properly, I'd say this still has plenty of life left.
