March 13, 2021 - Wow! Great cabernet bursting with dark fruit flavors including blackberry, plum and black cherry. The finish is long and very elegant with little tannins. Probably drinking at its peak.

October 14, 2020 - Tasting great, possibly at its peak, but not sliding yet. Has everything you'd want from a well-aged left-bank Bordeaux, even though it's from California. Tannins well-integrated, nicely blended acid and black fruits, drink away!

August 26, 2019 - See my previous note from a month ago. Was fortunate enough to secure 6 more bottles of this fabulous wine and already could not resist finishing 2 of them. This QPR is absolutely incredible. Excellent on day 1, and superb on Day 2. You can close your eyes while sipping it and immediately feel you're in Bordeaux (left bank). Incredible palate and looooong lingering finish. Still has plenty of life left despite moderate sediment. I'm upgrading my score to 93. Bravo!

July 28, 2019 - This is a classic, perfectly aged Cali cab from a fantastic vintage. It's clearly at peak, but not on downfall yet. Tannins are gone, and nose is highly reminiscent of old-world left-bank Bordeaux aged similarly. This is not your fruit bomb that has been "in style" lately, but rather restrained, complex, and fairly evolved beautiful juice. It's simply delicious on both days 1 and 2 and I'm sorry I only have 2 left from 6 purchased.

April 18, 2019 - Very nice Cab. Tannin's resolved, very smooth, medium to short finish. Nose is floral and lacking in complexity. Enjoyed this wine with grilled Salmon at Roy's in downtown San diego. Also had a bottle of the 2000 from Ardente. The 2001 was superior.
