October 25, 2013 - This was excellent, I liked it much better than a 2010 Drouhin Vosne Romanee opened the night before.
I expected something close to Seasmoke considering the winemaker is the same but stylistically this was very different - elegant, seamless, a little sweetness on the back end, not hot or alcoholic but very balanced iwth some delicious fruit. A very nice surprise

September 6, 2013 - This is an excellent PN - toasted oak and vanilla bean well balanced and smooth

August 23, 2013 - Quick taste from our friends at hitimes. Leaning towards a more fruit forward style of dark berry and cherry with some vanilla notes but the wine does not cross the line for me. I really enjoyed it.

March 31, 2013 - Disappointed. Expected more from Sea Smoke's former winemaker. Savory, but hard to find any pinosity. OK, but won't buy again.

March 23, 2013 - For me, this was a rather tricky wine to pin down. The first night it showed sparks of lively fresh fruit backed nicely by baking spice notes. The second night toasted oak caramel comes on strong. Would have preferred a little more focus but I enjoyed it. I will say though - if some think Sea Smoke is heavy handed with the oak regiment this wine provides little relief.

December 7, 2012 - Initial burst of fruit and cherry...strong oak and vanilla in the middle...finishes with earth and spice. Very unique Pinot. Love it.
