January 18, 2019 - Excellent quality for the price. Still plenty of black fruit on the front end and peppery spice notes on the finish. Nice contribution from the Syrah component . Would buy again !

September 13, 2014 - Really good CDP. Took a good hour to open up as it's tight and a bit acidic on pop&pour. After that, drinking really nicely - but could benefit from a couple more years of cellaring.

August 6, 2014 - After some random searching in the cellar, found this gem! It is a glorious CDP! It was lovely from the first sip (after the first pour and no decanting). It kept getting better...and better. After checking winesearcher.com, it seems like there is not much in the U.S. to purchase. If you can find it, "go for it"!

April 14, 2013 - Followed over 24 hours. Opened up over that time but didn't evolve much. This is generally what I would expect in entry level CdP. Nose of black raspberries, blackberries, anise, a little earth, graphite, some spice and herbs. 14.5% alcohol is noted but in check for the genre. This is very high quality and has the balance and stuffing to age well. Palate has a firm structure and a decent finish reminiscent of blueberry tea, though marred a bit by some alcohol. Wouldn't be surprised if this merits a point or two more in 5 - 10 years.

October 18, 2012 - Really smooth although still young and a bit tannic. Strong black current and black licorice flavour along with some tar, blueberry, potting soil and savoury bacon notes. Very well made and perfect with food. I wish I could have waited to enjoy it but I could only bring back so many bottles from France and this one called out to be enjoyed in its homeland. Incredible QPR at only 16 euros.
