Community Tasting Notes 5

September 20, 2018 - My cousin shared a bottle which I bought 10 years ago from Kermit Lynch. Brownish red in color. Not perfect storing condition but the wine held very well. Sweet jammy fruit, not game at all, and surprisingly it tasted very much similar to a Pinot Noir. I would never imagine an aged Morgon would taste so well. Drank over 2 hours and there's enough acidity that it would hold for few more years.

April 5, 2008 - Super exotic nose, cinnamon, metal, fur, brandied cherries and some funk, for lack of a better word. This doesn't taste 'bretty' (in the 4EP sense)
but has to be as it is so spicy from what seems to be loads of 4-EG. So good brett I guess. Cloudy, hazy and murky in the glass it is none-the-less very pure and rich with nerve and texture. wild flavors and great mouthfeel. very compelling stuff, very little black/blue/snappy fruit i often find in Morgon.

March 12, 2008 - loads of pepper, candied light tree fruit, great balance

September 11, 2006 - Dense black cherry nose.
Lush, meaty, kinky, bouncy. Metallic Morgon finish.
    Great Morgon.

January 13, 2006 - fuller gamay, especially for a organic wine
