November 4, 2018 - Q4 Wine Club - Aged Bordeaux (Our apt): Wow we went through these quite quickly. But hard to complain with the qpr on this wine. It really worked. I'm not sure it was quite as interesting as the bubbles we served beforehand which were vanilla and almond and a je ne sais quoi to it. This instead are just good solid style. Not really all that different or unusual, but well made. Enjoyed .
June 16, 2018 - Got this for a crazy deal from WineBid. At the price we paid this is an amazing QPR. At the price that seems to be what it's more often offered at I'd say it's prob right in line. It's a good standard champagne. Not particularly interesting or different, but solid.
June 16, 2018 - A bit of toast and vanilla, lemony fruit and some minerals on the finish. Not overly complex but an easy quaffer.
May 12, 2018 - Mostly used for mimosas with brunch, but I ended up doing the last few bottles on its own. It's a great champagne for the price point. Not overly complex, but well done and interesting.
March 31, 2018 - Very easy and light drinking bubbles. Almost a mineral quality to it this time. Light and easy.
January 18, 2018 - WineBid Tasting Event (Mandarin Oriental): The opening wine for the Winebid NYC event. This had a bit of vanilla and green apple and yet also a butter component to it. It was tasty.
January 18, 2018 - Had at a spectacular WINEBID.com tasting event. Total of 39 wines tasted with an unbelievable lineup ! Bravo to Sterling Roig.
This was the first. A medium weight and effervescent start to the night. While mid weight the champagne was toasty and drier than the Extra Dry label suggested. It was ok.
January 18, 2018 - A WineBid tasting you won't forget - NYC (Mandarin Oriental Hotel, NYC): The tasting began with a pour of this champagne. It was light and tasty, with small, elegant bubbles and some proper toast.
And then the food guy handed me a grilled lamb chop. Turns out, this is not a great pairing! (Who knew?). I was so distracted by the lamb chop I didn’t get the year disgorged.
