April 28, 2023 - Tasted from Magnum. Isosceles vertical tasting 2010 - 2016, inclusive, non-blind. A: ripe dark fruit. P: Plum, ripe blackberries, black cherries, still a hint of brightness, by no means overly mature. Still complex, medium length finish. It was the star of the night. Everyone revisited toward the end, after we tasted through to the 2016, it was still rated above the other vintages.

April 24, 2022 - Good things come to those...yeah, it's a cliche, but spot-on in this case. Isosceles is always a showboat in its youth, but with even a LITTLE age, it becomes a confident -- and consummate -- performer. Paired with chateaubriand. Also -- we left a little bit in the bottle, lightly corked, out in the dining room for five days. And it remained stellar.

December 23, 2021 - Totally opaque black cherry skin color, with an immediate nose of intense blue and black fruit, a whiff of chocolate dust, and cherry flavored ribbon candy, or as my wife interprets, black cherry compote.
Not one to decant wines of this particular persona, we prefer to let the wine slip through its inherent transformational presentations in our glass.
The unctuous, supple and viscous mouthfeel clings to the oral cavity, in perfect balance of acidity and still present bracing tannin structure, supporting an overlap of bramble fruit flavors, that very slowly dissipate on the palate into a lingering presence of intense small berry clusters of, not in any way untoward, almost unidimensional yet intensely extracted warm climate Cabernet Sauvignon, with the hint of the supporting cast of Cabernet Franc and Merlot lending a spiciness to the almost creamy, but not flaccid main character.
With only 20 minutes in the glass, the wine has become lighter and uplifted by the sparkling acidity. With dinner, grilled beef, we will be wishing for another bottle. Delicious nectar.

August 1, 2021 - Big berry baby. Decanted for two hours. Wish I had another in my cellar.
