Community Tasting Notes 10

March 27, 2019 - Excellent showing and in the sweet spot. Currant and black cherry. Great balance, mouthfeel and finish. Gives many Napa cabs a run for the money with its grace and power combo.

January 13, 2019 - Really shines after 3-4 hours in a decanter. Tannin still a bit chalky and rough, but sharing to develop nicely and is showing some good secondary character. Drink now with lots of air, but this will go another 7-10 easy.

June 7, 2018 - This is still going strong & is definitely not mess. Crazy drinkable, cheek puckering Bdx blend w/ some nice character added by the cab-franc. Where this might lack in complexity to my palate, it makes up for in charm & agreeability. This is in a very good place now.

    May 14, 2017 - Nose:
Creamy blackberry, baked cherry pie, milk chocolate, sweet leather, violets

    Palate:
Brandies cherries, dried sage, mint, dried leather (in contrast to the nose), tea, white pepper, and coffee grounds.
This is a good wine and I give it a 91 but I wouldn't hold onto it much longer.

August 15, 2016 - Very tight. Basically had to leave it open. Was rewarded. Complex and rich after decanting. Best on the third day.
