May 21, 2022 - Even though this was beyond the drinking age, the wine was still very good. Not to fruity or fruit forward but with a nice finish.

August 9, 2021 - Not my favorite style, but a nice accompaniment to grilled lamb chops with mediterranean spices. Some alcoholic heat mixes plums and figs with a hint of residual sweetness. Nice on the patio!

I was really curious about this wine with some age on it. I always tried it with 2-3 years on it , however, I always thought that it could have aging potential. Well, it does.....soft tannins, menthol/eucalyptus, chocolate, medium body with medium lingering. it did not add a lot of complexity or layering but it definitely evolved to a different wine.

December 27, 2020 - Surprisingly, this holds up, nine years out. Zin-heavy, high alcohol, but not without complexity. Chocolate and spice. I reckon this will keep drinking for another year or two, or three?

September 6, 2020 - Good but it was better when Dave Phinney was still around. Drinking well still.

September 30, 2019 - What to say? Nicely balanced. It was time...Does it Live up to hype? Maybe not--but still a very, very good Zinfandel dominant wine.
