January 18, 2020 - The bottle we drank six months ago displayed more energy and power. This bottle was pleasant but muted. I have several more in storage and agree with the recent notes that it may be time to drink them up.

December 24, 2019 - Showing secondary dark plum and black fruit. Unexpectedly soft and supple after a half-hour decant, a fair amount of sediment present. Still delicious, drink over the next year.

December 14, 2019 - A big, rich fruit bomb. Decent, but over rated.

December 6, 2019 - Last had this wine 5 years ago and my rating is the same. A definite aged flavor of leather, not a tremendous amount of fruit left. I would say drink up on this one.

August 10, 2019 - Classic KH flavors, deep, dark fruit flavors, softer tannins. Last bottle(s), wish I had more.

June 9, 2019 - ripe tiers of dark berry fruit, plum, currant and blackberry flavors, with oak shadings and hints of anise, cigar box and cedar. The finish is long.”
A beautiful nose that captured the senses upon opening. Big but smooth that is predominantly Cabernet with a just a few drops of Cab Franc and Petit Verdot from memory. These usually also have Merlot in them that varies in percentage from year to year but not sure about the 2010. Had at Ruth Chris with a beautiful filet. This wine sneaks up on you. You don't notice the 15.2 ABV until the 2nd or 3rd glass and that is when Kathryn hits you. On the palate, ripe dark berry fruit, creme de cassis, spice box, blackberry, and hints of cigar, and vanilla oak and chocolate on the long finish. A hair below the 2012 Diamond Mountain we opened earlier in the evening but also terrific in its own way. Glad I have a few more of these to enjoy. We came close to finishing the bottle but the steaks and desert filled us up. I will update tomorrow if warranted. Another great bottle of Kathryn and a delight to enjoy. No hurry to drink but also no real reason to wait if you have them.

February 21, 2019 - Score and notes given directly out of the bottle with no air. Great stuff, but definitely room for improvement with air/age. Big fruit, nice structure, fine tannins. Youthful but still very approachable. Great Napa cab.
