August 26, 2015 - I'm calling this flawed. The 'off-note' others mention was here in force. It was just OK for me, but spouse couldn't drink it. Some bottle variance for sure. Last bottle, so that's good I guess.

November 29, 2014 - No details, but a good wine, quite dark & rich like a Northern Rhone. Didn't get the raw meat notes or other off elements that others have mentioned. Also seemed to drink well now, although would probably be good for a few years yet.

June 1, 2014 - Venison tartare on the nose. Eerie. Agree with the other reviewers. unique.

February 13, 2014 - Color: Dark ruby, almost purple. Medium clarity.
PnP: Nose has musky note, root beer/camphor + meat?
Attack: Super tight, dusty tannins, and that funky note comes through on palate.
30 minutes in glass/swirl: Opened up quite a bit. Funk is recessed back into a balanced root beer/cola note, with red fruit, vanilla, and maybe a hint of beet. Tannins have softened into balance, silky mouth feel. medium length finish.
Overall: I like this, it is moderately interesting, but it is still quite young. This needs a couple of years to fully integrate. Will re-rate is 2016.

June 8, 2013 - There is no doubt that the 2010 has way more ageing potential than the 2011. This Vinsobres didn’t see any oak at all during growing; yet, it has a solidly good, well structured and strong profile. Its aromatics are more complexly structured, laced in a craftsmanship aspect. A superb effort, it should age gracefully, while being yummy of Southern Rhône, velvety, aromatics, and tannic. Great 90 pointer, I will try to revisit this beauty to check on its evolution.
