January 19, 2020 - A little too earthy/minerally. Wife liked it more than me, so score is an average.

February 12, 2018 - Surprisingly terrific, at least when I compare to what I last recall. The tannins have melted away leaving a delicious balance - full body, dark fruit, hints of chocolate and tobacco, low-med acid, med-high alcohol.

    December 5, 2017 - Really nice wine

October 7, 2017 - Very dark in glass, a great producer from a terrific vintage in RdD. Showing uncanny depth for a tempranillo, and could sub in a meal for a Cab Franc or Malbec with ease. Blackberry and smoke in the nose, and carrying over to the palate very balanced, with soft tannins and mellow acidity, adding flavors of plum and just a touch of cardamom spice. Lovely finish. Lots of life left in this vintage.

April 7, 2017 - Bought a case upon release but as a newb to this hobby I consumed too many too quickly. This continues to show strong potential as a cellar fav. Acidity perhaps still a bit strong vs. tannin, but fruit is undeniably elegant. Continues to open in the glass and patience is rewarded. Plum, blackberry and boysenberry highlight the mid palate. Good finish, definitely holding my remaining five bottle for another 5-7 years.
