November 12, 2015 - Muita goiabada no nariz. Com o tempo, a madeira se ressalta e o caráter de destilado envelhecido grita. Muito fino, complexo, profundo e longo.

September 19, 2015 - A private lunch (Restaurant Bareiss ***, Baiersbronn, Germany): Bottle no. 221/667. Extremely beautiful orange amber shot with mahogany; the nose is deep and rich, detailed and precise, with candied fruit, a hint of pecan nuts, the typical Palo Cortado touch of sour butter, warm woody notes and nice floral lift; the palate is concentrated and salty but not forbidding, dry but with enough natural glycerin to avoid austerity, a savoury woody note and bracing but well-integrated acidity; the lively finish is very long and reveals the drier side of the wine.

June 30, 2015 - Super suave, very refined on the palate, with a beautiful aroma and lingering, penetrating flavor of a homemade peanut butter cookie, maybe one with macadamia nuts in it.

October 16, 2014 - The wine is clear and bright with a medium amber colour and presence of dense legs. The nose is clean and fully developed, showing pronounced intensity aromas of prunes, raisins, carmel, toffee, coffee, almonds, nail varnish remover and acetaldehyde. The wine is off-dry with a low acidity. It has low soft tannins and a high alcohol. It has a full-body and pronounced intensity flavours of prunes, raisins, carmel, toffee, coffee and almonds. The finish is long.

It is an outstanding quality wine. It has a lingering finish and a great flavour concentration. It shows a very nice complexity provided by biological and oxidative ageing in the Solera and the clear typicity of an Palo Cortado Sherry. Drink now, the wine is already fully developed and there is no point in ageing it.
