August 20, 2018 - Evolved nicely. Big fruit.

December 16, 2016 - Served with broiled salmon with Cajun spicing; was looking for a pinot where the fruit was muted and wouldn't fight the spices on the salmon; so I went with a cold vintage Oregon, and got what I was looking for in this bottle. Would describe the wine as elegant with an extended finish; primary flavor is a hint of tart cherry and a touch of smoke.

December 3, 2016 - A 40th Birthday Celebration (River North, Chicago IL): Small glass, brief note. From 3L. Black and blue fruit comes across moderately ripe with a slightly green note on finish.

January 1, 2016 - Not very expressive and not as good as the first time I tried it at the winery. I feel the 2011 Oregon Pinot were better a few years ago. Aromas of leather and slight vegetal notes...not very complex. Ok but not worth the price.

(Archery Summit Pinot Noir Red Hills Estate Dundee Hills) A moderately aromatic wine with black cherry, earth, a light meaty note, and toasty spices. The palate is rich, dense and sumptuous with the oak providing much of the flavor and feel and seeming to give some rusticity to the tannins. Give two years. 100% Pinot Noir (Dijon clones 777, 115, 667 and Pommard). Aged 13 months in French oak (52% new). 13.5% alcohol. Sample provided by winery.
