June 12, 2023 - Really nice bottle with lots of life left. A touch sweet upon entry but that fades quickly with dark fruits showing strongly. Good acidity and smooth tannins add oomph to the medium bodied wine. Juicy, lengthy finish. Mostly about the fruit as not many secondary notes given its age. Delicious but missing some complexity to put it over the top.

June 22, 2022 - Overall good wine and typical modern California styled with nose of blackberries, cherries, blueberry jam, licorice, menthol, tobacco and flowers. Palate is a bit jammy with black and blue fruits and overripe fruit forward but tannins are well balanced and acidity is acceptable. Finish is long. Good wine but I have tasted better ones for the money.

June 18, 2022 - Drinking exceptionally well right now, mouth feel is jammy with a long finish. An outstanding example of the vintage, which has aged well after being very tight when we first tasted 7-8 years ago. Regrettably, there won't be any more produced from this name so we will enjoy our remaining bottles.

    February 4, 2022 - Wow,wow,wow.

Opened a signed magnum from my 50th birthday trip to the estate. Poured 1/2 into a decanter with a diverter down the sides. First sips tells me this will be awesome over the next hours ( maybe even the Unpoured for tomorrow.)

My wife is concerned that it is too good for the planned meal.

Deep dark red color, red and blue fruits on the nose with a woody light tannin backbone. (not sure if they were using the T5 casks yet).

Perfect balance with 14.1 % alcohol. Not hot or sweet or too tannic. Big and bold, a mouthful.
