November 4, 2016 - Beautiful CF. Well aged, still hints of dark fruit, gentle tannins, no green vegetals. Velvet on the palate, with just a hint of astringency. Played well with prime steak & bernaise sauce. Drink now, but probably still has a year or so, if held well and if you enjoy a bit of age on your Bordeaux.

July 13, 2012 - Deep ruby color. Blackberry nose with some menthol notes. Tastes of black cherry, anise, pepper, coffee, and chocolate. Well balanced. Soft finish with some complexity.

September 5, 2011 - Terroir-istes International - Cabernet Franc from around the World (Rodwell House): Medium ruby, the wine has a savoury nose with fresh meat, chorizo, and parma ham but plenty of blackcurrants. There is some floral notes as well. On entry, the palate is silky textured, with lively acidity with lots of ripe fleshy fruit-blackcurrant, cassis and blueberry. Medium-bodied, there is plenty of depth of flavour, good length and smooth tannins that linger on for a long winding finish. Somewhat delicate the wine seems to have finesse and suppleness that makes it super enjoyable, even if it isn't too complex.

July 17, 2011 - I recently did a tasting at Duckhorn and I wanted to bring something home with me that I couldn't easily find back east and this is what sttod out. It's a single-vineyard (off Spring Mt.), low production Cab Franc blended with 16% Cab Sauv and it's already sold out. It was aged for 18 months in new French oak to which I am partial. It was impressive for both it's fullness and opulence of dark fruits in the mouth, but also it's tannic structure and firm body from the Cab Sauv. It should mature fairly well too.
