November 7, 2022 - Drinking beautifully right now. Cassis aromas with plenty of agreeable tertiary notes. Still well structured.

October 26, 2022 - 15 year old cab Sauvignon with a lot of tertiary notes. Still has the structure although it is really softening up. Tannins are well integrated, nice acidity. Tastes of dark cherry, leather, mushroom, wet wood. Drink immediately as it is not getting any better.

April 20, 2022 - I probably would have rated this a lot higher a year or 2 ago, but this one is past its prime. Drink immediately if you still have some!

January 21, 2018 - Mid-dark garnet; distinct Napa Cabernet nose; herbaceous, mint, cassis, wood; mid-body; balanced; good Cabernet flavor; long semi-chewy finish. Fun to watch a $25 wine evolve.

November 5, 2016 - Terrific with ribeye. This has older leather on the nose all day long, some clove/tobacco, and still some ripe red fruit as well. Tannins are mellowed, and this is just a pleasure to drink. Delicious bottle of wine. 92+ pts.

July 18, 2016 - Perfect with dry aged steaks! Tannins have mellowed and very balanced with the soft fruits and not overbearing like a cab can be with steak. Wish I had a few more in the cellar!

June 20, 2016 - Slightly amber garnet with minimal bricking on the edges given its age. On the nose, dark berries, cigar box, and a hint of strawberry. With just a little time to open up, on the palate blackberries and currants, red meat, that hint of strawberry again, smoke, and spices typical of Cab Franc on the finish. The style is more French than Napa; quite dry but not austere, with medium complexity. Great QPR @ ~$25. I'm sorry this is my last bottle.
